High School Youth Ministry
Mission Statement
St. Patrick Church of Merna Youth Ministry exists to provide our teens with a space to grow in their relationships with Jesus. Our purpose is to help our youth understand that each of them are known, loved and chosen by God for a specific purpose. Through fellowship, we will nurture Christ-centered friendships both within our congregation and beyond the walls of our church. We will honor God and grow in our faith by serving our parish family and local community. With frequent opportunities to participate in the Sacraments and live out our Catholic faith, we hope our youth will take ownership of their own faith journeys, as they discover God’s purpose for their lives. Ultimately, we hope that they can take what they discover here as they grow into that purpose and apply it beyond their SPCM home.
Purpose
For our youth to know they are known, loved, and chosen by God and that He desires to be in deeper relationship with each of them.
Small Groups
Small groups exist for our high school students to connect with each other under the guidance of a dynamic adult facilitator and spend time regularly diving deeper in their faith. They provide teens the space to support and cheer each other on regardless of school affiliation or activity involvement. Small groups offer a variety of content such as bible and book studies, discussion, and fellowship on a more personal level. Our prayer is that our small groups will continue to draw our teens into a deeper relationship with God and an understanding of His desire to love them and walk with them through all aspects of their lives.
