Special Collection


These envelopes support various special days or events for our parish. Each envelope has a distinct look, ensuring that you as the parishioner recognizes the envelope as a special occasion envelope. Below are list of Special Collection envelopes.

 

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

PARISH MONTHLY COLLECTION - The collection is used to provide spiritual grow and support by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering.

Solemnity of Mary the Holy Mother of God

PARISH ANNUAL COLLECTION - The collection taken on January 1st is a liturgical feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary honoring her divine motherhood to Jesus Christ and the day that the birth of Jesus is publicly announced.

Aid to Eastern Europe Churches

DIOCESAN ANNUAL COLLECTION - The collection taken on Ash Wednesday (February 10, 2016) to support the essential and unmet pastoral needs of the church of the region.

Easter Flower Memorials

PARISH ANNUAL COLLECTION - The collection is used to have Easter lilies and other flowers to help decorate our church for the Easter season. If you would like to make an offering in memory of a loved one, a $10 donation is suggested. Please submit

PARISH ANNUAL COLLECTION - The collection taken on November 1st to celebrate and honor all the saints, particularly those who do not have their own special feast day.

Campaign for Human Development

DIOCESAN ANNUAL COLLECTION - The collection is taken on November 23rd to support the poor and low-income in acquiring affordable housing, fair wages, access to health care and vocation training.

Bishop’s Seminarian Appeal

DIOCESAN ANNUAL COLLECTION – The collection is taken on November 27, 2016 to support the seminarians with the Diocese.

Poinsettia Memorials

PARISH ANNUAL COLLECTION - The collection is used to purchase poinsettias and other church decorations to help adorn our Church for the Christmas season. If you would like to make a offering in memory of a loved one, an $10 donation is suggested. Please submit your memorial by December 5th so the memorial will appear in the bulletin.

Retirement Fund for Religious

DIOCESAN ANNUAL COLLECTION - The collection taken on December 11, 2016 allows us an opportunity to honor and thank thousands of senior Catholic sisters, brothers, and priest.

Christmas Day

PARISH ANNUAL COLLECTION – The collection is taken on December 25th and is used to support the parish. Some years ago the Dioceses of Peoria abolished the practice of funds collected in these envelopes going to the pastor as part of his income  

Uganda School Mission

UGANDA SCHOOL MISSION - The funds collected will be used to support our parish school St. Thomas Vocational Secondary School in Uganda.
