Welcome to the Development/Stewardship section of our website. Development and Stewardship has always been blessed with generous volunteers who have utilized their time, talent, and treasure to make St. Patrick Church of Merna parish what it is today. The purpose of this section of the website is to provide you with insight of the happening and activities that are taking place within our parish.
Here at St. Patrick Church of Merna, we define Development/Stewardship as the meaningful involvement of people in our mission and vision!
We encourage and support our parishioners’ response to the Gospel call to serve through the sharing of their TIME, TALENT, & TREASURE.

To remain informed of current activities in which to volunteer while becoming acquainted with fellow parishioners, consult the “ONLINE BULLETIN” posted weekly on our main homepage. A “green book” detailing all of the organizations and ministries in St. Patrick Church of Merna, along with a summary of their work, and contact information for becoming involved is available in the parish office, upon request. You are strongly invited to chat with fellow parishioners, to hear, firsthand, of their volunteer experiences at St. Patrick Church of Merna. Parishioners often express their appreciation of the warmth and sense of closeness that exists within our large parish community, achieved through the participation and involvement of our parishioners, and we welcome you!
With the growing community of our parish, many of these services and ministries need more help in order to continue. The talents of each parishioner are welcomed on any committee and ministry. The TREASURE phase of Stewardship is giving back to God and our parish the first fruits of our endeavors. Through this portion of stewardship our parish grows and the ministries are allowed to continue to meet the growing demands of these necessary services.
Stewardship of treasure begins not because God has a need of our gifts but because each one of us has a need to return to God a truly grateful portion of our time, talent and treasure in thanksgiving for all the blessing that He has given us. The highest purpose for giving is our gratitude to God for His many blessings.
